In 2017, the Canadian Government decided to address the Opioid crisis through a series of initiatives. With the support of Health Canada, the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada will develop a curriculum consisting of bilingual online courses that are based on established competencies for student physicians that address gaps in current educational offerings. In January 2019, we had the opportunity to work with the AFMC on an environmental of national and international content and curricula from academic sites, public organizations and published literature.
